Last June Block completed ;-)

I have finally completed my last swap block for the month - just in the nick of time.

This one is for Block Swap Adventure

The block was not difficult to make, but I wasn't happy with my first attempts.

Here is a tease for my partner ;-)

Unfortunately, this block will not be in the mail until I get some communication from my partner.
EDITED:  This block will be in the mail on Monday.

June Blocks for Maria and Alicia

Maria has let me know that the block I made for her for the June Swap for Christmas Block Swap Australia has arrived safely - thank you Maria, I am so glad it will fit in with your other blocks.

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier for Maria

Here is the full block.

a star block variation.

my June block for Alicia for  QBSA has arrived safely too - thanks Alicia for letting me know - I am so glad you like it.

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier.

and here is the full block.

Alicia asked for 'any block, any colour'.  As I was in an experimental mood, I made a Log Cabin variation - thick & thin, spots and stripes.

That leaves only one more June block left for me to make - a wonky tree to Debra for Block Swap Adventure
I have had an attempt to do a wonky house but that ended up way too wonky and in the bin, I think I will have to do a wonky tree - at least I know that will work out ;-)

Debra, if you are reading this, your block will be in the mail by the end of the month.  I am sorry if my desire for a response to my email offended - that was not my intention - I just wanted to confirm/acknowledge swap details with a new swap partner.

Block Lotto Blocks - June

I missed out on making the Block Lotto Blocks for May, but promised myself to make some for June.

The blocks for June are super easy to make, but took a while to get the right colour combinations ;-)

Here are my first 4 blocks.

These last two are not unique, but will be thrown in.

So that makes it 4 blocks for me - I am hoping to get some more done soon.

FNSI turned into FNCI

FNSI (Friday Night Sew In) turned into FNCI (Friday Night Craft In) as I got motivated and inspired to do some cardmaking - although I did get to take up the jeans I intended for the Quiz Night [more on that HERE].

I won the lucky seat prize ;-)

I love olives ;-)

That's it from me for now - my labour saving device (washing machine) is beeping at me and needs my attention.

Christmas Block in June - received ;-)

Vanessa has advised that she has received her block - and she LOVES it.
Doin' a happy dance

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier

Here is the full block

Yes, I made my favourite Annie's Choice again ;-)

June Christmas block from Vanessa

I received this lovely block from Vanessa for the June Christmas Block Swap.

also included in the package was this gorgeous wall hanging ;-)

and it was personalised - just for me ;-)

Thank you so much Vanessa, I love it!  This will hang proudly on display at Christmas, along with one received from Merry last year as part of a CraftMad swap.

I have used Merry's photo from HERE, as it is packed away in my Christmas box and it is a bit dull to take photos today.

Squishies in the mail ;-)

I like my postman today, he left two squishies in my letterbox.  He has not been nice on previous days, only leaving bills.

The first package from Alicia, for the QBSA, and surprise, there were two blocks in the envelope - thank you Alicia, they are both beautiful blocks.

Block:  Clay's Choice

This second one is my favourite though ;-)

The next envelope had this block in it

this log cabin block is from Lana for the Block Swap Adventure May Swap
Thank you Lana, the colours are absolutely perfect :-)

I am in preparation mode for FNSI - I need to work on a wonky house block for my June Block Swap Adventure partner.  The first attempt turned out just too wonky and is in the bin ;-)

but first I need to take up some jeans to wear out on Saturday night to a Quiz Night.

Have a great day everyone, see you on FNSI

I'm on a roll ;-)

Block for Larissa for May QBSA

Larissa has advised that her block for QBSA has arrived - and she loves it

Here is a sneak peek of the block for Larissa (no blog)

Here is the full pic.

Larissa asked for Log Cabins, Pinwheels or Dresden Plates in Brighter rather than pastel colours, though not fluros.
I was hoping I had not gone over that line of brights turning into fluros.  I had intended to make a traditional log cabin, but a momentary lapse in concentration when cutting turned it into a Courthouse Steps Log Cabin variation.  I must say, I am very pleased with this block and am quite relieved that Larissa likes it.

I can't wait to see what I get from Larissa - it is like Christmas every month joining in with these swap groups.

Christmas Blocks in June

I got some 'serious sewing time' today and made up my blocks for the June Swap for Christmas Block Swap Australia.

I was lucky enough to have two swap partners this month with similar fabric choices.

Here is a sneak peek for Maria

Christmas block for Pat

Second post for me today, please scroll down to see other post.

The block I made for Pat (no blog), for the May, Christmas Block Swap has arrived safely.

so here is the snippet I posted previously

Here is the full block.  Pat requested a railfence block from http://www.quilterscache.com/R/RailFenceBlock.html in reds and greens.

I am so glad Pat likes the fabrics I have chosen.  Pat, I hope I have chosen the right layout for the railfence - if not, please feel free to re-arrange to suit your other blocks, if you wish.

This is the block I received from Pat.

Look at all that wonderful golden goodness ;-)

Blocks for Quilting Block Swap Australia

As part of my recent cross check of sending and receiving blocks, I realised I had not posted pics on the QBSA blog.
I was ABSOLUTELY SURE I had done it.

So here are all the blocks I have made for my QBSA partners since April, with sincere apologies to my swap partners for not acknowledging them on the group blog.

April

Here is the sneek peak of the April block for QBSA for Helen.

here is the full block

Helen asked for any stars in blue, shades and tones of blue
This star Block is called Deweys Victory

May

Here is a sneak peek of the block for Larissa (no blog)

This block has been posted, but I am yet to hear that it has arrived safely.  So we may have to wait a little longer to see the whole thing.

April Block from Michelle & May block for Lana

Every two months I go through my swap list to see that I have sent & blogged about all the swaps I have taken part in.  Whilst checking my list, I realised I had forgotten to blog about the block I received from Michelle for April for Block Swap Adventure.

Thank you Michelle - the colours are gorgeous!

Lana has advised that the block I made for May Block Swap Adventure has arrived safely.

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier.

and here is the whole block.

Lana requested a log cabin using colonial colors of red white and blue - not the bright colors but the old world color of each.  I hope I have picked the colours right - the colour in the photo is not quite right.  After I cut out the fabric and started sewing, I was influenced by the American Flag, and laid out the colours accordingly.  I am so glad Lana likes it.

Lana has posted a sneak peek of the block she has made me and the colours look perfect ;-)  I can't wait to get it ;-)
