FNSI results and now I think I understand ......

FNSI again ;-)

My July to do list - done and dusted ;-)

July Block Lotto blocks
July Christmas Block Swap
July QBSA
July BSA
Finish baby quilt

I finished off my blocks for the various swap groups I am in.

This is for Leena for Christmas Block Swap

This is for Elizabeth for Quilting Block Swap Australia

Ladies, your blocks will be in the mail on Monday.

When I first started quilting and cruising the world of quilting blogs, I couldn't understand how people could have so many UFOs - 'unfinished objects' and have so much fabric, just sitting around waiting for the perfect project.

Oh, how things have changed in such a short amount of time.

My first bulk fabric purchase 'just for me' bought in July 2010

my yardage piles at the beginning of the year

now my fabric has grown to fit three shelves
  • top shelf is washed and ready to go
  • middle shelf is yet to be washed
  • bottom shelf has some backing fabrics and some quilt tops ready to be backed and quilted
The eagle eyed will notice that the fabric I bought a year ago is still on the shelf.

two quilt tops ready to be backed and quilted, then bound - these two quilts are my winnings from Block Lotto

Must be off now, I have some wedding invitations to work on.

  1. Good work getting all the block swaps done, especially since I will be sending out August ones tomorrow in QBSA lol.
I know what you mean by the fabric pile, I cant help buying more and more, and earmarking lots of patterns to make in mags. They are all there for one day :)

  2. Getting swaps done is a great way to spend FNSI. I'll have to keep that in mind. BTW... love seeing your stash as it grew.
I worked on a new project and was happy to get several blocks done.
