Thank you Swap Partners ;-)

As well as being just sooo pleased with how it turned out,
it was a big thrill to see it in a Quilting Magazine ;-)

See my post HERE for other photos of the quilt

Please go have a look at the BEAUTIFUL quilts that have been submitted this week - they are all gorgeous!
You can vote for up to FOUR faves - I do hope one of them is mine!

Happy Camper ;-)

Some of you regular followers may remember a block I made for Alex as part of a RAK in 2010 - see my post HERE for pics on the whole quilt

Well, ever since then I have been on the lookout for this material - I only had 1 Fat Quarter of it and used most of it up as I made a mistake in the cutting ;(

Well, I finally found it in a Destashing  Group on Facebook

I am so pleased - thank you Lois!

Now, if only I can find this fabric
I will be very happy ;-)

What a busy month ;-)

Boy, September has proven to be a very busy month for me ;-)

see my post HERE for the first part of the month

As part of the 20 days to organise and clean challenge, I have been doing some major spring cleaning, some decluttering and organising as well as preparing for a family get together ;-)

In between all of this, I have been attempting to fulfill my swap commitments.

This block is for Kerry for QBSA who requested any block in Burgundy, pink and cream - Thanks for letting me know it has arrived, Kerry - glad you like it.

This block is for Rosalyn for BSA who requested any block in Black and White with Lime Green accents - love batiks and modern type fabrics - I hope Rosalyn likes what I have chosen.

Cynthia, the replacement block I am making for you on behalf of Raelene will be completed shortly.  I do apologise that your first month with the group has been a little messy.

September so far .....

Hi everyone

hope you are having a great start to your weekend.

The sun was shining here in Adelaide today - for part of the day any way - and we have spent the day in the garden in preparation for a family get together next weekend.

I have also been in spring clean mode this last two weeks - see my posts HERE - it has been great fun ;-)

As far as sewing accomplishments go, so far this month, I have:
  • made up my Orange blocks for the Craft Mad Family quilt - they are now ready to post to the other three participants.

  • received all these blocks so far

  • received some gorgeous Fat Quarters from Heather for the FQ Swap
  • packaged up these FQs ready to post

I received this gorgeous block and pattern from Carol of Carl Junction, MO, USA. Carol approached me in August and asked if I would be willing to do a one off swap. I said yes, and this beautiful block is what arrived.

I need to finish making a Log Cabin for her and get it in the post.
Carol is hoping to swap some of her other Christmas Star blocks for some Log Cabin blocks with other quilters.   If you would like to swap with Carol, let me know I will pass on her email details.
  • received this beautiful block from Kerry for QBSA

That's me done for the day - muscles are sore and am about to start cooking tea.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
