We also have a Birthday Club whereby members send some Fat Quarterly Love to each other on their birthday.

I have been so pleased with the success of our Fat Quarter Birthday Club, which commenced in May, and was eagerly looking forward to my birthday, when I would receive some Fat Quarter Birthday Love ;-)

My very late blocks for October and a weekend with the girls ;-)

Well, October has certainly disappeared in the blink of an eye - where did it go?

I seem to have been so very busy, but don't really have that much to show for it :(

So I don't spoil the surprise for my last two Christmas Block Swap partners, Jean & Cynthia, here is just a tease ;-)

Both of these blocks are finally in the mail,
with my apologies for being so very late ;-)

I heard from Debbie, my partner for October QBSA, that my block has arrived
here is what Debbie sent me ;-)

This last week has been a blur, as I prepare for a weekend away with the girls in a School Reunion of sorts - in the lovely picturesque town of Victor Harbor, South Australia.

I am intending to visit The Quilt Basket ;-)

Photos will be posted on my return ;-)

October block for MicheleK

One of my partners for October was the lovely MicheleK who didn't have any particular preferences, but in discussion, it was determined that any block in Red and White would be good ;-)

This is what I sent.
MicheleK has let me know it has arrived safely and I quote
"I received your block and I love it. Churn dash is my all time favourite block :)"
Doin' a Happy Dance ;-)

Making list and checking it twice

I have been remiss in not blogging about my blocks, both sent and received on the various group blogs :(

So I have made a list and checked it twice ............  here is what I missed

This block is for Kerry for QBSA September swap, who requested any block in Burgundy, pink and cream - Thanks for letting me know it has arrived, Kerry - glad you like it.

This is the block Kerry sent me - thank you, it will fit in so well with all the others.

These gorgeous blocks were received from Erin (along with some extra scraps) for the September Christmas Block Swap - they are so lovely in real life - thank you Erin, I love the fabrics you have chosen.

This is what I sent Erin - which has now arrived safely, and Erin loves the bauble fabric ;-)

This is the block I made for Rosalyn for BSA for September.  Unfortunately, I haven't heard from Rosalyn, so I don't know if it has been received or not and I haven't received a block from her yet.

Pinwheel BlockHere is a block I made for Susan in July - this was my first time making a pinwheel block and I must admit, I enjoyed it very much.
Susan made this one for me ;-)

I hope I have now caught up with posting pics - if I have missed anyone, please let me know ;-)

In and out of my sewing room

September seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye - where did it go?

Naomi has sent this gorgeous bundle of goodies - some extras thrown in to make up for being a bit late - Thank You so much Naomi - there was really no need for the extras, but I love them any way ;-)

I love the little charms - especially the elephant - you know it means good luck when the trunk is pointing up - thanks for that info Dale Kerrigan ;-)

Here are my orange blocks from Annette & Mandy for the CraftMad Family Quilt

Spotlight shopping - I went out to grab some Fat Quarters and use up my Birthday voucher .......
.......... ooops, they just multiplied and grew up to 1/2 metres ;-)
That is what happens when
it has been more than 60 days since my last Spotlight visit ;-(

I got to sew on my birthday ;-)  Bathurst was on, so I spent the day in my tracky dacks, drinking champagne & orange juice, sewing with the race going on in the background.

So I don't spoil the surprise for my October partners
here are some teasers
