FNwF or FAwF

FNwF started as FAwF (Friday Arvo with Friends)
Old Primrose Inn
In my recent endeavours to search and destroy locate all UFOs, I came across quite a few items that were in various stages of completedness  ;-)

some items were cut, ready to sew,
some items were partially sewn, almost ready to finish
and some items ............. well let's just say I'm not sure what stage they were at ........... or what I was intending to do with them  ;-)

I played with a layout of my Old Primrose Inn blocks - I have a new Layer Cake ready to go, but just couldn't get motivated to cut and sew

I really wanted to do some 'feel good' sewing ................. something that would go towards the various relief efforts for  QLD/NSW with the recent spate of fires and floods we are experiencing.

So I experimented with an old Jelly Roll and made up a few not so Scrappy Trip Along blocks as a test before the real scrappy trip along ;-)

Scrappy Trip Along Here the blocks are, as I put them on the design wall - I can see a few patterns emerging - need to play some more ;-)
I only have a few more strips left :(

I am going to have to find more of this fabric ........ now that I have actually made these blocks up, I really like it ;-)  Anyone know what it is?   All I can remember is that I got it from Spotlight some time in 2010, one of my very first fabric purchases ;-)

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
Remember, any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.

  1. I don't know what that fabric is but I really like it too!

My UFOs are in the same state as yours. So many and some of them I have no clue what I was thinking when I started them and so I have no idea what I will do when I get them. This is my year to finish all of my (47) UFOs before I start anything else though, so I better figure out what I was doing! :D

  5. Oooh purdy blocks!!! ... I haven't seen the fabric before, so I'm sorry but I can't help there. It is very nice though - I can see why you purchased it back in 2010! Great FAwF

  6. Good job with the sorting and sewing. Both the quilts look lovely. I wish I had bought some of those purple fabrics. No idea what they are.
