FNSI - show and tell

There is not much to show and tell this month - with it being Good Friday, I didn't end up spending much time in the sewing room - just did a bit of sorting and packing for my April swaps :)

I gathered my Christmas fabrics in preparation of my Christmas Block swap, and CraftMad Family Christmas Quilt - will get to some serious sewing today :)

However, I can show show you what has landed in my sewing room recently :)

FQ Swap from Kelly - I love this fabric - I am going to make something for Mr Fixit with this :)

February & March CraftMad Family Christmas quilt blocks from Merry

QBSA - Rainbow Starflower from KateW

this is what I sent Kate

I had a great find on ebay - some sheets offcuts and the best find of all (for me anyway) was finding some floral fabric that matches my quilt cover.

I am going to make a new cushion cover and will make up a cushioned top for the blanket box I have been intending to get for the last few years.
At times here the weather is so unpredictable - one night you are sweltering, and don't need any blankets, the next night you need a blanket or even a quilt.  We are rapidly approaching the time when we need to get the 'winter weight' quilt out.  All of these quilts/blankets are in the walk-in robe at the moment - currently folded on the floor :(

Stay tuned for developments :)

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
Remember, any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

  1. Nothing wrong with sorting and tidying your sewing space Cathy. It means when you can sit and sew you can enjoy just that! Happy Easter

  2. In the craft room without stitching sounds good to me. Lots of beautiful fabric needing to be sorted makes for an enjoyable night.
