FNSI - Show and tell

A very successful FNSI for me ................ Mr Fixit was happy to watch the cricket ... Australia won, so he was deliriously happy :)

as per usual, we have to start with some good preparation :)

I finished off my Do.Good Stitches bee blocks - scrappy strip quilt blocks

Scrappy String Quilt Block

I found the perfect little box to keep my Farmers Wife blocks in :)

Must be off, my labour saving device (washing machine) is beeping - time to put in another load :)

Anyone got solar panels?  We took a few years to make up our minds, but finally bit the bullet in March 2014 and had them installed.  We just got our electricity bill for the previous 3 months - when it was scorchingly hot here in Adelaide :(  normally, this time of year we would expect a bill around $1,000 ............... it was $571.00  :)   and we fed $62.00 back in :)  woo hoo!!!  So it was a very good decision by Mr Fixit :)

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day - any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.

  1. fabulous blocks Cathy.I can see why you are happy with your solar panels...
we don't have panels but our power bill is never more than $250 for 2 months and we use pumps for our water..

  2. You always have a yummy selection of beverages and eats when you craft, wish I was so organised. :-) Those scrappy strip blocks are wonderful. Good to hear the solar panels are paying for themselves. We have never got around to it.

  3. great storage idea there Cathy!
We're about to do a full re-do on our aircon at home - getting reverse cycle - & also getting panels to run it for us... living just south of Perth, we're never short of sunshine even in winter - that's a great result for yours, well done!
