a long weekend means ......

lots of time in the sewing room.

I have finally finished sorting through my stuff and have set up the new shelves.

this is what it looked like BEFORE

this is what it looks like NOW

I am now able to keep all of my quilting magazines in the one spot - they were spread out in different bookcases before.  ALL of my active projects are in clear containers on the left - the white basket in the top section holds all my Farmers Wife Sampler fabrics and the completed FWS blocks are in the box on the top of the shelves.

The white baskets hold various bits of fabrics, and all of my batting and interfacing stuff is on the bottom shelf.

My coloured scraps containers are the next items to be sorted out - they are on the right in the BEFORE photo, but I think I might put that off for another time, as now I am motivated to sew!

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day - any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.

  1. Hello Cathy,

Your new look room looks fantastic, magazines tend to take up too much room. I have a pile to go through.

    Happy days.

  2. Looking great Cathy. I love those white baskets....I have them everywhere in my house...they are in the pantry, laundry and my sewing room. I just wish Woollies would sell them in the other colours seen on Pinterest. I am a bit of a 'basket case'

  3. Isn't is nice to be in a sorted and controlled creative space? Love your little block too.
    Greetings,
