FNSI | show and tell

FNSI came around quickly for me - I am still doing a lot of secretarial stuff for my camera club - I really hope it settles down soon - I miss spending time in my sewing room :)

I spent some time tidying up shelves after turning them upside down looking for 'teal' for the DoGood Stitches Bee block.

Then I got stuck in and made up the block - it is biggie!  should measure 20.5 x 20.5


mine measures 20.5 x 20 and is not very well made - so here's me keeping it real and showing you my first attempt at this block :(   I have left a question for the Quilter - so I will most probably make another one to the correct measurements.

CHRISTMAS BLOCK SWAP
I have completed my christmas swap block last week, and it is packed up ready to post - guess who left it behind when they went out - DOH!  it will wait until Monday now - it has been too hot to step foot outside!

Farmer's Wife | Installment #3

Don't you hate it when the week just disappears into what feels like three days?

Things have been extremely busy for me with my camera club starting back for the year, and a lot of committee duties taking up my time.

However, I have been able to spend a little time in my sewing room, and here is the next installment of The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt.

CraftMad Family Quilt Block Swap - New Year, New Swappers

We have gained a few new quilt block swappers over on CraftMad - Beth & MrsA have decided to join our little swap group, so with Mandy, Merry and myself, we now have 5 swappers - mostly beginners :).

This year we are swapping a 12" block of the makers choice, in the receivers' colour preferences :)
My preferences for this year are Rainbow colours with white.

FNwF - Show and Tell

It was nice to spend some time in the sewing room again - Mr Fixit was happy to be ignored :)

I really didn't get much sewing done on the Friday - just faffed about tidying up fabrics, and selecting my next lot of blocks and fabrics, and cutting them ready for my next Farmers Wife session ..... but once I had cut, I just had to sew ....

Block 31 - Evening Star

So, on Saturday,  I got to sew some more Farmers Wife blocks - I am really enjoying this project.  I have even found a new love of 6 inch blocks  LOL

I love HSTs!

Progress so far - 11 blocks

11 DOWN ............... 100 to go!
