June Blocks (updated) .........

I got to spend quite a few hours in the sewing room yesterday ......... there was a bit of a movie marathon of X-Men movies on Foxtel, so Mr Fixit was suitably entertained for the afternoon and quite happy to be ignored  :)

blocks received for the CraftMad Family Quilt

from Mandy

from Merry

Clay's Choice

Star Cluster (Sawtooth Star)

here is what I have sent

CHRISTMAS BLOCK SWAP

Tease photo for JenD, USA - June

hopefully, it will arrive shortly :)

Updated:  Jen's Block has arrived

QUILT BLOCK SWAP AUSTRALIA

these lovely rainbow starflower blocks

from Donna, for June

since Donna was generous enough to send two blocks, I have returned the favour

making progress on my Christmas in July Swap

Bad News:  The kit I purchased was missing a few things - like threads and batting :(

Good News: I was able to use up some of the threads I have received as part of the Fat Quarter Swap :)

I am not a good embroiderer, but I think I am improving.  I am certainly enjoying the nice quiet time sitting and stitching :)

All that is left now, is to:

• finish my CHERISH Do Good Stitches Charity blocks - 2 x improv blocks/log cabin in the red/orange /yellow spectrum surrounded by lights/neutrals
• catch up on my RSC14 blocks - purple, green & yellow
• catch up on my Globetrotter QAL/BOM blocks - March, April, May, June
• make a start on my 12" mini quilt for September - Summer Theme

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day - any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.

Squishies in the mail ;-)

I like my postman today, he left two squishies in my letterbox.  He has not been nice on previous days, only leaving bills.

The first package from Alicia, for the QBSA, and surprise, there were two blocks in the envelope - thank you Alicia, they are both beautiful blocks.

Block:  Clay's Choice

This second one is my favourite though ;-)

The next envelope had this block in it

this log cabin block is from Lana for the Block Swap Adventure May Swap

Thank you Lana, the colours are absolutely perfect :-)

I am in preparation mode for FNSI - I need to work on a wonky house block for my June Block Swap Adventure partner.  The first attempt turned out just too wonky and is in the bin ;-)

but first I need to take up some jeans to wear out on Saturday night to a Quiz Night.

Have a great day everyone, see you on FNSI
