Winter has started with a ..........

........ sick Mr Fixit, and a sick Mrs Fixit ............. yes, we share everything, even the things I would prefer not to share LOL

On Sunday, 1st June (1st day of winter) I woke up with a sore throat and have been suffering with the effects of the flu ever since.  Mr Fixit has been a week ahead of me with all the symptoms, and has been home from work for two weeks; we just can't seem to shake off this terrible cough - we have each gone through a box of tissues in the last week.

Any way, on the weekend, Mr Fixit needed to catch up on some work things, so I spent some time in the sewing room - it was great therapy :)

I finished up my christmas block for my June partner, Natasha, and so I don't spoil the surprise, here is a tease photo

I picked some Fat Quarters for my June partner, HelenW, once again, a tease photo follows

I also did some secret sewing :) here is a tease

Then, I got stuck into my Farmers Wife Quilt and made two more blocks - well I made three, but one was the wrong size!  My pile of 'rejects' is getting bigger LOL I will do something with them one day :)

CHERISH | Do Good Stitches | May Block

For the first time in a long time, I completed my Charity Bee Block before the end of the month, and it is in the post!  Woo Hoo!

This block was super easy to make, and I am really looking forward to seeing the finished quilt with this one :)

FNSI - show and tell

It was FNSI on Friday, a great opportunity to tidy up a bit before making another mess finishing my blocks for my Christmas Block Swap partners for May - Traci and JanF.

Traci sent me two GORGEOUS blocks,

so I wanted to return the favour and send two blocks back :)
and so as I don't spoil the surprise, here are some tease photos :)

next up is a block for JanF - a new member of our Christmas swap group - since it was very close to the start of the month when she joined, I offered to swap with her first (one of the benefits of being the Swap Co-Ordinator I guess :) )

these blocks were completed on Saturday, which is still Friday for those on the northern hemisphere :)

I love it when it rains ................

that usually means a cozy weekend at home.

This weekend, Mr Fixit brought some work home with him, so I was left to my own devices - so what did I do ............... catch up on some household chores???  no way, I spent the weekend catching up on my sewing :)

On Saturday, whilst tidying up my sewing room, I came across my Globetrotting BOM that I started last year, and was prompted to make up another two blocks.

Globetrotting BOM - Block 03

Globetrotting BOM - Block 04

As a reminder, here is what I have done previously
