My PIF is done ............... is yours?

This post also serves as a gentle reminder to all those who agreed to participate in the PIF during 2012 to complete your promise to Pay It Forward.

Well, my PIF is finally in the mail.  Yes, I know, I am so very late, but I didn't want to let Sherry down.  I made a promise, and I needed to keep it.

I would normally wait until my package arrives before posting photos, but not this time.  Sherry has been most patient, and I want to give her something to look forward to - that is if she still reads my blog :)

One of these hot pads has been sent - which one? ;-)

Unfortunately, I have not been able to contact the third person to register for my PIF - so I guess my PIF 2012 has been completed :-).

Time for the monthly wrap up - I was able to finish up my April swaps before the end of the month ;-)  YAY!  Packages will be in the mail to their recipients on Monday ;-)

Another Finish! FNSI!

I have managed another finish for 2013 - this is from my Misc List of bits and pieces (use up Orphan Blocks)

this is all I can show you for now, as it is a gift
and I want to wait until the recipient gets it before the big reveal.

This was also an experiment on utilising the backing as the binding - I am pleased to say it worked well :)

This will also qualify for a FNSI show and tell ;-)  as I finished the last of the binding last night ;-)

Apologies to my PIF recipients

I had been very quietly working on my PIF projects with the intention of getting everything together ready to mail by Christmas - but I fell short of that goal.

By January, I had finished my items and the PIFs were packed and ready to mail - then I had a tidy up in preparation of some visitors and they were put out of sight ............. out of sight = out of mind.

I have also just recently started studying at TAFE and that has taken up a good part February - so that brings us to now!

So Raelene, Diane and Sherry ..... I haven't forgotten you ;-)
The good news is that your PIF items will be posted on Wednesday 27th February!

It's Here! It's Here!

I was admiring the fabric used in a table runner in a recent post of SueB Quilted Hugs.

Sue mentioned that it was just a snippet of her PIF and I secretly hoped I was going to be the recipient as I thought that it would look very nice in my lounge room.  So I did what any good quilter does when hoping a package will arrive ................ I stalked my postie ;-)

you guessed it!   it was for me ;-)  doin' a happy dance

that is a job for hubby over the long weekend)

Pay It Forward - Registrations closed

I am participating in Pay It Forward for 2012 and have put my name down with SueB's to be her Pay It Forward recipient.

It is very exciting as some time in the next 12 months SueB must make and send me a surprise gift.  I don't know when I will receive this gift, or what it will be.  How exciting!

By registering with her means that I will have to Pay it forward to three recipients - a bit like a chain letter but a lot more fun  ;-)).
