Happy New Year

Hi everyone

Happy New Year to you all.  I hope the year has started well for you.

2022 ended on a sad note for me with a dear friend passing away .... way too young!

Which got me thinking ...... I might close down this sewing blog, as I don't do much sewing or quilting anymore.   The cost of material/fabrics is the major factor in this decision - some fabrics are now over $32/m ...... I can't justify the expense for a hobby that I have lost interest in.

I have a huge cupboard of fabric that I will be going through and will attempt to sell on Marketplace.  I may keep some 'special' fabrics ..... you know the ones :) you just can't bear to part with them, as they remind you of a special someone or a special time.

Who knows, a 'clear out' may just what I need to get reinvigorated with quilting again!

I will still keep my cardmaking & photography blogs going, but for the foreseeable future, there won't be any new posts here for a little while.

Follow me with 'Feedly'

Hi everyone

It seems there are changes afoot for people who subscribe to my blog using the FeedBurner email service.  From 1^st July 2021 this email service will no longer be available.

So, this post is for those people who currently get my blog posts via email .......

If you would like to continue to follow my blog, and I hope you do :), then there are a few options available to you.

You can:

·         Follow my blog with ‘Feedly’

·         Follow my blog with ‘Bloglovin’

·         Follow my blog using the ‘Blogger reader (if you have a ‘Blogger a/c’)

I’ll try to keep an eye on things for any new developments for those that prefer to receive an email.

In any case, thank you for reading & following my blog so far ....... I hope we can continue to keep in touch.

And, because I like to include at least one photo with each post, here is something I prepared earlier :)

Tips on using Feedly to follow blogs

I have been using Feedly to follow my blogs this last few weeks or so ........................ so far, so good

I follow the Feedly Blog and saw some great hints and tips on using Feedly in a post HERE

The best tip I have discovered is how to add a new blog to your Feedly list with just the click of a button :-)

I quote an excerpt from the Feedly Blog

Case #5: You are browsing and bump into a blog or site you want to follow

• On chrome and firefox, feedly adds a little semi transparent button to the bottom right of the site. You can click on that button and on the feedly logo to easily add the feed of that site to your feedly – the feedly button will only appear if the site include RSS or ATOM metadata headers.
