Quilting Gallery - Quilters' Show and Tell

I  have entered my Friendship Quilt in the Quilters' Show and Tell - Favourite Quilt of 2012 ;-)

This lap quilt has been made using some of the first swap blocks I have ever received whilst being a member of Quilting Block Swap Australia and Block Swap Adventure during 2010 and 2011 - finally finished in 2012.  I love the fact that all these different blocks have come from different parts of the world and look so great together.
I am still a member of these swap groups and love receiving new blocks each month.

Thank you Swap Partners ;-)

As well as being just sooo pleased with how it turned out,
it was a big thrill to see it in a Quilting Magazine ;-)

See my post HERE for other photos of the quilt

Please go have a look at the BEAUTIFUL quilts that have been submitted this week - they are all gorgeous!
You can vote for up to FOUR faves - I do hope one of them is mine!

Exploding Sewing Box

As some of you regular readers will know, I have been part of a Craft group, CraftMad, for many years.  One of the shining stars of our group is Kaye, she makes the most incredible creations ....... from cards to miniature houses (including making all the bits inside) and decorated eggs.

Kaye has outdone herself today, by showing an exploding box for a sewing friend ;-)

I post a tease photos here - stolen - pinched - borrowed from Kaye's blog.  Please go visit and have a look at the whole thing - it is absolutely GORGEOUS!

My Friday Night with Friends ..........

started in the afternoon, so I guess it was really Friday Arvo with Friends, with Mr Fixit measuring up and cutting holes in the wall of the bedroom for the Plasma TV.  He was happy playing with his tools while the cricket was on in the background.

That meant I was able to spend the afternoon catching up on some much needed sewing for swaps guilt free!

First up, I got to finish up the last of the CraftMad Family Quilt blocks - 1 Pink and 1 Purple Churn Dash for Mandy, Merry and Annette

Craft Mad Family Quilt - Pink

Craft Mad Family Quilt - Purple

I also got to spend some time in the craft room finishing off my Craft Mad Money Box Swap - see my post HERE  ;-)
