Hi there
Richard's block for Block Swap Adventure has arrived :-)
Richard asked for any block in any colour ;-)
I have a few fave blocks that are easy to make, and I just love the blocks that look good in two colour combinations.
During the most recent FNSI, I had a bit of a tidy up as well, and came across some HSTs that I had partially sewn and set aside. I really like the pink & brown combination so I made up my fave Pinwheel #7 block - there was a vague feeling of de ja vu ;-)
I finished sewing, took some photos, placed the block in the envelope ready to mail and proceeded to write my blog post.
I am the first to admit I am a bit anal 'thingy' about keeping track of my swaps - I can get sidetracked a bit during the month and sometimes it is a bit of a panic when I realise I only have a few days left to get my block in the mail. I keep a speadsheet of who I have swapped with and photos of blocks sent and received - that way when I put a final quilt together, I can see who made what ;-)
I discovered that I had already made this block in this very same colour combination back in August 2010 - it was my VERY FIRST international block swap for Quilt Block Swap. I discovered Block Swap Adventure at the beginning of 2011 and I have not looked back since.
Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
Remember, any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)
Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.
