to make a start on my Farmers Wife Quilt - I bought some more fabrics yesterday from A Quilters Odyssey. I timed my visit well, as my friend Cynthia was there too :) and I got to see her Farmer's Wife quilt in the flesh, so to speak ................... OMG it is just gorgeous!!!!
I pinched Cynthia's pic from her blog - this photo does not do it justice at all!
..... to add to my original picks ....
I will start cutting now and see how they play out :)
I was going to do one block a week, but Kate reminded me that there is 111 blocks so it would take over two years to do it that way :( (I was never good at maths :( and can't add up to save my life)
So the goal is to do 2 blocks a week - they are only 6" blocks so it should be doable :)
I am even thinking of grabbing some of the fabrics I set aside for the Globetrotting Quilt Along - as some of my fave fabrics are in there as well :)
Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day - any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)
Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.
I can't wait to see some of your blocks. The fabrics you have selected are going to make your own beautiful Farmer's Wife Sampler. If you have any questions just ask. I am sure you can manage 2 blocks a week.
ReplyDeleteCathy I'm sure you'll do a stunning version of the Farmer's Wife - lovely fabrics - can't wait to see your progress!
