A Christmas Tree for Robyn

Here is tease photo I posted earlier for Robyn, for Christmas Block Swap

Robyn recently posted on her blog that she has to step down from all her swaps as life is just too crazy at the moment.
I do hope that 2012 is better for you Robyn.

I am assuming by now that Robyn has received the block I made for her, so I will post a full pic here.

Robyn requested christmas tree either in patchwork or applique, in red, green gold and cream - I hope you are happy with what I have made for you ;-)

The red star button came from this lovely swap package from Barb in The Fat Quarter Swap for September.

Hope you are all having a good day ............ I am ;-)

September block for Leanne

Have just received confirmation that my September block
for Block Swap Adventure for Leanne has safely arrived.

I had such a 'mental block' for this one.  Leanne asked for any block that might go with the Shabby Chic feel and had a colour preference of Pink & Green/Shabby Chic with a White/whitish background.

Here is the tease pic I posted earlier.

Here is the full block

The photo does not look quite right - in real life the flowers stand out more ;-)

Curved rail blocks for Block Lotto

September Block Lotto is Curved Rail Blocks in Batiks

I mentioned in a previous post that I needed some Batiks, but when I saw the pattern .............. oh no, curves!!!!!
I have never done curves before.

I thought to myself, "Sophie has never steered you wrong yet!"
so I gave it a go

Sophie, here are my six (6) blocks for this months block lotto which I will donate ;-)
I am really hoping to get some more batik fabrics and make up some more later in the month.

I really enjoyed making these blocks ;-)

so much I made another 9 - these can't go in for Block Lotto as they all use the same three fabrics and due to a cutting error on my part only measure 8 1/4", but I am smitten with these batiks ......... I can see a lap quilt coming up in the near future.

Block from Maria for September .... already ;-)

I received this lovely block in the mail from Maria for the QBSA
It came with the most beautiful card with the front made from fabric - thank you Maria, I love it and have it proudly on display in my sewing room.

Maria also included some lovely lace,
but I forgot to photograph it ;-(, sorry Maria.

September block from Vicky

I got another wonderful surprise in the letterbox today. This lovely block from my September swap partner Vicky, for http://quiltblockswap.blogspot.com/ . Vicky has recently moved and has been busily packing and unpacking. I am pleased she was able to take some time and get some creative therapy going ;-)

I also have had some other goodies delivered for the craft room and am hoping to get some stamping done real soon.  See my other blog HERE

September Quilt Block Swap has arrived in Florida

Good news - my September block for the USA Quilt Block Swap group has arrived in Florida

I really must learn to be a bit more patient when using international postal services ;-)

I posted a snippet earlier, so now here is the full pic.

Vicky requested any block (preferably not stars), likes colours.  This is a Box Kite block.

September block has arrived in Canada

My block to Mary in Canada has safely reached its destination - it seemed to take 'forever'  ;-)

I posted a snippet earlier, so here is the full pic

Mary requested any block in teals or neutrals (no neons or novelty)
this block is Annie's Choice and is a real pleasure to make ;-)

Another block has arrived safely ;-)

Dallas has just sent me an email to let me know my block to her has arrived safely ;-)

So here is a full pic!

Dallas asked for a Star or Log Cabin block in autumn colours.   I have made up a Starflower block and Dallas is hoping to make a cushion out of this one as it matches her lounge suite :-)
