Some sewing just for me & FQs from Barb

I did some sewing just for me ;-)

I liked the way the recent baby bag I made came together, so I made another one.  I was in Spotlight the other day and saw some material that I just fell in love with and thought it would make a lovely tote bag.

I have also received a set of yellow fat quarters from Barb

Baby Shower - Card & pressies

Baby fever has hit our household.

With Riley's first birthday just last week - see card HERE - now we have a baby shower card for Riley's Mum - yes, Riley will have a new little sister soon - around the end of June beginning of July.

I went to a baby shower today, for my nephew's wife.

My own creation using the CraftROBO.

I also made this big carry bag for her and filled it with goodies.  I made the bag up as I went ............. and it came together like a dream.  I am rather pleased with myself ;-)

Check out the gorgeous butterflies on the bibs - oooh, so clucky and she hasn't arrived yet.

They say Adelaide is so small, well they are right - it seems I went to school with my nephew's wife's aunty - does that make us Aunties-In-Laws??

It's Finished!!

The Black & White & Red quilt for our bedroom is finished.

I used my new quilting foot and quilted around the dark 'crosses' yesterday, and this morning (with my extra hour) I put the binding on. 

I went back to my first choice of black binding.

My First Pillow

Morning everyone.

We have a lovely sunny day here in Adelaide, all the doors and windows are open and my sweeping and vacuuming is done.

I made my first pillow the other day, complete with the flap to keep the pillow inside.

I am quite chuffed as I made this from scratch to match the Black & White & Red quilt I am making for our bed.  It was quite a challenge figuring out which way to do things ;-)

I have now made another matching pillow, and here they are on the bed.

I am going to submit this pillow to Pillow Party.  I am not too sure if this is fits in with their theme, the pillows submitted previously are so gorgeous.  But you just never know .........

2011 finishes!

I am loving being at home!

Hubby is home too, but he is busy on his laptop for a project for work, so I am left pretty much to myself.  What does one do when they are left to their own devices?

Well, I usually do a bit of sorting, and while sorting, I get inspired to make something, usually some blocks to go towards a quilt (eventually)  ;-)

I came across some beautiful fabric that was way too thin to use for quilting, but I thought it would make a lovely sewing caddy.
