making a list and checking it twice

Every few months, I go through my block swap lists to make sure I have completed all my swaps, mailed them to the recipients and blogged about it on my blog.

I came across these blocks that I had not blogged about
**hangs head in shame**

All is good though, I did remember to let my partner know via email that they had arrived ;-)

These lovely blocks came from Larissa for the May swap for QBSA

such gorgeous Batiks - I think I will need to add some of these to my stash

I was so lucky to receive two blocks from Larissa and she has such good taste ;-) I have actually made myself a bag out of the same fabrics HERE

Blocks for Quilting Block Swap Australia

As part of my recent cross check of sending and receiving blocks, I realised I had not posted pics on the QBSA blog.
I was ABSOLUTELY SURE I had done it.

So here are all the blocks I have made for my QBSA partners since April, with sincere apologies to my swap partners for not acknowledging them on the group blog.

April

Here is the sneek peak of the April block for QBSA for Helen.

here is the full block

Helen asked for any stars in blue, shades and tones of blue
This star Block is called Deweys Victory

This block has been posted, but I am yet to hear that it has arrived safely.  So we may have to wait a little longer to see the whole thing.

April Block from Michelle & May block for Lana

Every two months I go through my swap list to see that I have sent & blogged about all the swaps I have taken part in.  Whilst checking my list, I realised I had forgotten to blog about the block I received from Michelle for April for Block Swap Adventure.

Thank you Michelle - the colours are gorgeous!

Lana has advised that the block I made for May Block Swap Adventure has arrived safely.

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier.

and here is the whole block.

Lana requested a log cabin using colonial colors of red white and blue - not the bright colors but the old world color of each.  I hope I have picked the colours right - the colour in the photo is not quite right.  After I cut out the fabric and started sewing, I was influenced by the American Flag, and laid out the colours accordingly.  I am so glad Lana likes it.

Lana has posted a sneak peek of the block she has made me and the colours look perfect ;-)  I can't wait to get it ;-)

Some sewing just for me & FQs from Barb

I did some sewing just for me ;-)

I liked the way the recent baby bag I made came together, so I made another one.  I was in Spotlight the other day and saw some material that I just fell in love with and thought it would make a lovely tote bag.

I have also received a set of yellow fat quarters from Barb

Thank you Barb, I love the yellow owls ;-) and thanks for the extra goodies too ;-)

Another Christmas Block received

This beautiful Christmas Log Cabin block is from Pat (no blog) for the May Christmas Block Swap.
Thank you Pat, I love the fabrics you have chosen.

Look at that golden goodness ;-)

I have had some paid work to do and have not had time to sew just lately, but I am hoping that will change this week.
Look at me ......... hoping not to get too much paid work .......... is that bad of me? ;-)
