I have decided to leave the 6 inch swap group as I wasn't having as much fun making the smaller blocks  ;-(

Cathy's Campfire Block

My partner, Janet, in the 6" swap group has asked for a Cathy's Campfire block - needless to say I was so excited to be making a block with my name on it ;-)

Sailboats - first successful try at paper piecing

I had fun with this block  ;-)  ;-((

Sue asked how I went with the paper piecing? ............. well, my hair is normally straight and after my third attempt, let's say it was curly by the end of the afternoon  ;-)

 

I got it in the end ;-)  and included my first test as well - it is not quite right, but Sue is free to use it or bin it ;-)

well, the postie has been kind to me this week - lots of squishies and no bills ;-)

I received this lovely potholder from Lauren in my February Sewing Swap for CraftMad

The photos do not do it justice - the fabric is just GAWGUS!!!!

This is the potholder I made for Annmaree to fill her request for BRIGHT COLOURS

I hope it is bright enough ;-)

Well, a lovely hot day here in Adelaide yesterday - 38C - Hubby chilled out and watched the cricket and I sewed - seems pretty natural to me ;-)

I have completed my block for Michelle, for Block Swap Adventure

and also completed by 6" blocks for Robyn for 6" Block Swap

I also sorted some more fabric scraps
