February swap blocks completed

Well, a lovely hot day here in Adelaide yesterday - 38C - Hubby chilled out and watched the cricket and I sewed - seems pretty natural to me ;-)

I have completed my block for Michelle, for Block Swap Adventure

and also completed by 6" blocks for Robyn for 6" Block Swap

I also sorted some more fabric scraps

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.

April Block from Michelle & May block for Lana

Every two months I go through my swap list to see that I have sent & blogged about all the swaps I have taken part in.  Whilst checking my list, I realised I had forgotten to blog about the block I received from Michelle for April for Block Swap Adventure.

Thank you Michelle - the colours are gorgeous!

Lana has advised that the block I made for May Block Swap Adventure has arrived safely.

Here is the sneak peek I posted earlier.

and here is the whole block.

Lana requested a log cabin using colonial colors of red white and blue - not the bright colors but the old world color of each.  I hope I have picked the colours right - the colour in the photo is not quite right.  After I cut out the fabric and started sewing, I was influenced by the American Flag, and laid out the colours accordingly.  I am so glad Lana likes it.

Lana has posted a sneak peek of the block she has made me and the colours look perfect ;-)  I can't wait to get it ;-)

Michelle has let me know the block I made for the April swap for Block Swap Adventure has arrived.

and here is the block

Michelle asked for either Birds in the air, Road to California or Wagon tracks.
I made the Birds in the air block and really enjoyed the way this block came together - another favourite added to my list - thanks Michelle ;-)

FNSI - 15 April 2011

It was FNSI again - I am so glad these happen on a regular basis - it gives me opportunity to catch up on my swaps.

A successful FNSI needs a bit of preparation and some essential supplies.
Choccies and wine (Lindt & Banrock Station, White Shiraz)

First I completed my April block for Michelle for Block Swap Adventure

here is a snippet

Michelle, your block will be in the mail on Monday.

then I worked on my April block for Sharon (no blog) for the Christmas Block Swap group
here is a snippet

Sharon, your block will be in the mail on Monday.

Then I made up some Clover blocks for Block Lotto

I got up early this morning to finish off what I started last night

here is a pic to prove that I did not eat ALL of the choccies

I hope you all had a great FNSI - I know I did.
