Pay It Forward - Registrations closed

I am participating in Pay It Forward for 2012 and have put my name down with SueB's to be her Pay It Forward recipient.

It is very exciting as some time in the next 12 months SueB must make and send me a surprise gift.  I don't know when I will receive this gift, or what it will be.  How exciting!

By registering with her means that I will have to Pay it forward to three recipients - a bit like a chain letter but a lot more fun  ;-)).

February swap blocks completed

Well, a lovely hot day here in Adelaide yesterday - 38C - Hubby chilled out and watched the cricket and I sewed - seems pretty natural to me ;-)

I have completed my block for Michelle, for Block Swap Adventure

and also completed by 6" blocks for Robyn for 6" Block Swap

I also sorted some more fabric scraps

This pad was made up with blocks received from my October 2010 partner for QBSA, Linda (who now runs Block Swap Adventure), the reason there are two blocks very similar is that Linda's first blocks went for a trip around the world and she very kindly send me a replacement block  - see my posts HERE  and HERE

I must confess, I am liking these blocks so much, I think I will keep it  for myself and make a different one for my friend ;-)

I am claiming this as a finish for Sew its Finished as I have had the blocks since 2010 ;-)

Friday Night Sew In .......... Yay!

I did some sorting before I started my sewing

I found another UFO - (top shelf) a handsewn hexagon quilt started in 1993 when we gave up smoking - I needed something to keep the hands busy ;-)

I did get some sewing done but need to wait for the camera battery to re-charge and will post photos a bit later.
